Los Angeles, CA March 25, 2004 -- "Confident Creatures" and "Awesome Attitudes" , the first two installments of the four-set animated DVD/VHS series Animal Stories is set to be released in stores this April throughout the United States and Canada, it was announced today by Roni Nigri, President, Blast Films. The DVD, which translates into either English or Spanish, comes with a printable poster of the characters and a printable coloring book so children can follow along while coloring their favorite characters.
Animal Stories, a popular television series in Europe which garnered the BAFTA Award for "Best Pre-School Animation," previously aired in the U.S. on the Disney Channel. Narrated by Oscar nominee Nigel Hawthorne, this is the first time the original 52 episodes of Animal Stories will be available on DVD and VHS in North America.
Through vibrant, larger-than-life animated characters like Oliver the Owl, Dinky the Dolphin, and Susie the Kangaroo, Animal Stories teaches children the importance of values like self-respect, good manners, good friendship and being happy with who they are. "We have decided to bring this educational series into homes at a time when working parents are searching for educational, affordable, and value-added entertainment for their children," says Nigri.
The DVD is digitally re-mastered, compatible with all players worldwide, and designed with convenient chapter stops, make viewing easy to stop and start.
Animal Stories is manufactured by Blast Films, a division of Vintage Home Entertainment and is being distributed by Red Distribution. The DVD and the Clamshell VHS retail for $9.97.
